Traci Young Fant- Chief Executive Officer
Humanitarian, Activist, Wife, Mother and CEO of Think2xTwice.org Traci Fant believes in building a strong community through actions...not
just talking about it, being about it! Being the mother of 4 children,
Traci knows first hand the issues our youth face. Today's teens have so
many issues they are trying to overcome, their lives are more difficult
than the lives we lived as teens years ago. Gang violence, bullying,
dating abuse and school violence are just...
a few of the issues our non-profit organization is addressing. After
surviving an abusive relationship and witnessing her then 17 year old
son being abusive toward his girlfriend in his relationship, Traci knew
that something had to be done to break the cycle. She began doing
research online about dating abuse and healthy relationships and began
teaching her teens about the importance of being in a safe, healthy
relationship. She decided that other teens needed to know the importance
of healthy relationships as well so she took to the streets of
Greenville SC, distributing information throughout her neighborhood,
local libraries, stores and local middle and high schools. In June 2009
she was selected by Liz Claiborne Inc. to represent MADE (Moms and Dads
for Education to Stop Dating Abuse) as a State Action Leader in South
Carolina. She has appeared on a local morning and radio shows, hosted
several Speak Out Against Teen Violence events, has been keynote speaker
at many events and Stop Teen Violence rallies and hosted It’s Time To
Talk Day at local high schools in her area. Traci is also State
Ambassador for the Love Doesn't Leave Bruises Foundation. Amongst the
many events her organization is credited for Think2xTwice.org also
hosted the Justice for Trayvon Martin Rally in Cleveland Park,
Greenville SC which is slated to be one of the largest public
demonstrations Greenville has had with almost 2,000 people in
attendance. She is now married and has a very loving and supportive
husband. Traci is very passionate about her mission to help teens
fulfill a normal and healthy life, and feels that together we can make a
difference.
